Juvenile Pedestrian Struck In St. Clair

A juvenile pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Wednesday in St. Clair.
The incident occurred around 4:09 p.m. on West Springfield Road, near Kimker Ridge Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 6-year-old juvenile from St. Clair was in the ditch and entered the roadway.
A 2014 Volkswagen Beetle, driven by Kelly A. Luxton, 54, St. Clair, slowed down, but the front left of her vehicle struck the juvenile.
He was taken to Children’s Hospital in St. Louis with moderate injuries.
